Vinyl Fencing
Landscaping Services
Professional installation of privacy, picket, farm, and pool fencing across western Ohio and eastern Indiana. No painting. No rotting. No regrets. Durable fencing that lasts a lifetime.
Why Choose Vinyl Fencing
Wood fencing looks great on day one. By year five, you're painting. By year ten, you're replacing boards. By year fifteen, you're pulling the whole thing out and starting over.
Vinyl fencing is different. It's engineered to hold its color, resist Ohio's freeze-thaw cycles, and stay structurally sound for decades — without a single can of paint or a single rotted post. Post Excavating & Landscaping LLC has been installing vinyl fencing across Mercer County and surrounding areas since 2004, and we stand behind every installation we do.

Fence Styles
From classic white picket to heavy-duty farm fencing, we install the right style for your property, your budget, and your goals.
Privacy Fence
Best For
Residential backyards, pool areas, patios
Available Heights: 4 ft · 6 ft · 8 ft
Full-height solid panels that block sightlines completely — ideal for backyards, pool surrounds, and outdoor living areas where you want to relax comfortably without an audience.
Semi-Privacy Fence
Best For
Side yards, garden borders, front yards
Available Heights: 4 ft · 5 ft · 6 ft
Spaced pickets that allow airflow and partial visibility while still clearly defining your boundary lines and property space. A great middle ground between open and fully enclosed fencing.
Picket Fence
Best For
Front yards, flower beds, decorative borders
Available Heights: 3 ft · 4 ft
The classic American look — evenly spaced pointed or flat-top pickets on a rail. Defines your yard with timeless style and elegance without closing it off from the neighborhood.
Split Rail Fence
Best For
Acreage, pastures, property line marking
Available Heights: 3 ft · 4 ft
Open, rustic-style fencing with horizontal rails and widely spaced posts. Perfect for clearly marking property lines on larger lots and farm properties without obstructing surrounding views.
Farm & Ranch Fence
Best For
Horse paddocks, livestock enclosures, farm perimeters
Available Heights: 4 ft · 5 ft · 6 ft
Heavy-duty vinyl board fencing designed for agricultural use — strong enough for livestock containment and built for long-term durability while staying maintenance-free for decades.
Pool Fence
Best For
In-ground and above-ground pools, hot tubs
Available Heights: 48 in (code minimum) · 54 in · 60 in
Code-compliant pool barrier fencing designed to meet Ohio safety requirements. Keeps children and pets safely away from the water without sacrificing the look of your outdoor space.
Why Vinyl Wins
Never Paint. Never Stain.
Vinyl fencing is UV-stabilized and color-fast from the factory. The white or tan color goes all the way through the material — it won't peel, chip, or fade the way wood does.
Virtually Zero Maintenance
An occasional rinse with a garden hose is all it takes to keep vinyl looking new. No sanding, sealing, staining, or replacing rotted boards — ever.
Rot, Rust & Insect Proof
Unlike wood, vinyl won't rot, warp, or attract termites. Unlike iron, it won't rust. It holds up in Ohio's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or heaving.
Adds Real Property Value
A clean, well-installed vinyl fence is one of the few outdoor improvements that consistently returns value at resale — and it keeps looking great for 20–30 years.
Installed by the Same Crew
PEL handles the full installation — layout, post setting, panel hanging, and cleanup. No subcontractors. The same team that does your landscaping handles your fence.
Licensed & Insured
Every PEL installation is performed by a licensed, insured crew. We pull any required permits and ensure your fence meets local setback and height requirements.
From the Owners
"We install vinyl fencing the same way we do everything else — with the right materials, the right depth, and the right attention to detail. A fence that leans or fades in five years isn't a fence we'd put on our own property."
— Dan & Kristi Post, Owners · Post Excavating & Landscaping LLC

Common Questions
Quality vinyl fencing typically lasts 20–30 years with minimal maintenance. It's backed by manufacturer warranties ranging from 10 years to lifetime depending on the product line.
Yes. Modern vinyl fencing is formulated with impact modifiers that keep it flexible in cold temperatures, preventing cracking. Posts set below the frost line prevent heaving.
Permit requirements vary by municipality. In most Mercer County townships, permits are not required for residential fencing, but we always verify before starting and handle the application if one is needed.
Most local ordinances require a setback of 1–2 feet from the property line, but this varies. We confirm your local requirements during the estimate and lay out the fence accordingly.
Yes. We use either a racked (follows the slope) or stepped (stair-step panels) installation method depending on the grade and the fence style. We'll recommend the best approach for your yard.
Yes — single walk gates, double drive gates, and custom-width openings are all available. Gates are included in the estimate and installed by the same crew.
White is the most popular and widely available. Tan/almond and gray are also available in most styles. We'll show you samples during the estimate.
Yes — our farm and ranch vinyl board fencing is designed specifically for agricultural use and is strong enough for horses and cattle. It's a popular choice for Ohio farm properties.
